Maybe because we're having an another snow storm for 2 days :/
So far February was the slowest month in construction of One World Trade Center due to weather.

Big Red is still there, it's just hard to see in that pic. Big and Bigger Red should be there for at least another month. And don't forget, Bigger Red well be moved to the Transit Hall once it's finished at Tower One ( possibly with a MAX-ER kit added).

wow i only live 50 miles from the freedom tower and in the area its allways snowing, i have a feeling this is going to push the project back a month or so.

yeah im around the same. about 30 miles in nj from wtc, and its still snowing like crazy.

like you said, this could be pushed back because of this wintery month.

Yes, a lot of us (NOT including me) still do. I can't stand it..so many people are clueless about what's going on..it's pretty rediculous to me. I mean, it's in your on freakin city!! I blame it on the media. I just really wish that people would pay more attention to what's happening in the city as a whole and not just their neighborhoods. I could give you tons of examples of this ignorance, could you believe that they're are New Yorkers that haven't got a clue about the second avenue subway?

I think WTC-Site is a much better name.... like 1 WTC is better than Freedom Tower....

well to answer your question most people that i talk to still call the site ground zero. i cant say all of us new yorkeres call it but i definatly know a good portion of us still do.

^ Most people still call it "ground zero", but that's because most people don't follow what's going on down there the way we do. People who haven't been Downtown are shocked to see actual buildings rising.

No problem M.K. but NYguy; I definitely agree with your statement but I've even heard people at the site say rediculous things like that refer to there being nothing being done at the site. People are just so boxed in to there own little world..like I said before, it's not only the wtc site that people don't know about, there's many projects (like new stations monyihan & the fulton transit center, subway line extensions, parks, major buildings, road/street work, tunnels) just major things going on that people have no clue about. I bet half 40% of us can't even tell you who the governor is. I haven't even mentioned they're awareness to what's going on in the rest of the country and the world. Ugh...I'm done ranting. Sorry everyone. Getting back on topic.. Does anyone know how the snow removal is coming along? I haven't been down to the site since last tuesday. Hopefully we won't get another snow like this for the rest of the year; it's getting old.

based off of renderings and model shots, it looks like they are gonna reconfigure the roads, and make a mini park in between.

Since 9/11, I have continued calling the site World Trade Center despite the horrible events that happened there. Ground Zero was the name given by the Media because the term Ground Zero means a point where an explosion occurs or the location of any disaster. What did people call the original World Trade Center when it was under construction. I doubt people still referred to it as Radio Row because it was demolished. People should just call it World Trade Center since it is under construction. Then again New Yorkers are forever reminded by 9/11 so much so that they aren't ready to move on until something is finished. Also, if New Yorkers don't follow the progress they think nothing is going on other than the disputes between Silverstein and the Port Authority so they continue to call it Ground Zero until something is finished there.
