I hope you can get a Jack As(tor')s (
http://www.jackastors.com/). I thought they were pretty good. My wife took me to one while we were in Toronto visiting family. I don't know about now, but the servers used to sing you the menu. They're based out of Ontario, and have most of their locations in Ontario, but have branched out to Quebec, Nova Scotia, Alberta (Calgary), and U.S. Their outdoor neon sign, when lit at night, would flash off/on the "tor' " portion of the name (Jack As
tor's) as if a broken sign, to periodically spell ... you guessed it!
Alice Fazooli's Italian Grill is another chain based from T.O. that comes to mind. We went a number of years ago when they featured a promotion of "seafood" such as crawfish, alligator, various large marine fish meats (marlin, tuna, etc.). Another highlite was that they played Italian vocabulary lessons in the washroom continually!
