I think the Quest will rival the Omega, provided that the finishing meets snuff.

i live in Omega and overall i am quite happy but the 2bdrms were poorly designed, finish level mediocre at best, and exterior detailing quite poor.

Speaking of poor finishes: parts of my Uptown unit are already showing wear & tear/falling apart. Gonna be a fun run through new home warranty...

The pink is cedar wood accents, If I recall correctly.

Re: Urbia podium - Firstly it is too busy, keep it simple!! Secondly, there is so much more to do on this project that this design will change.

Sounds like every other place built between 2006-2009.

At least Omega is approachable, having a coffee shop in the podium.
Speaking of which, what's the deal with the tinted retail windows? Truly amateur...was this a failed design consideration or did they just order too much blue glazing? I can't believe Starbucks would enter that space without improving their visibility

Getting a little off topic, but does anyone know where I could find some technical data on the placement/height of light standards in a medium density development?...I'm working on a secondary plan for school. The city of Edmonton used to have it available online but the link is now dead

^probably a non-consideration. But I don't mind it for they are relatively transparent. Starbucks has great visibility and love the space.

The strange thing is it's really weird stuff. My bathroom sinks are all losing the shine from the glazing. The chrome is discoloring/clouding around the screwhole. Odd stuff, not shoddy tradesmen.

I'm all for wear and tear and I am cognizant that the developer will cut corners where they can, but the glazing coming off inside of 6 months? Blech.

Oh me and Carrie don't exactly see eye to eye. Plus TNP hasn't finished all my deficiencies. All of my baseboards were supposed to be replaced in August, repairs were left 90% done and are now falling apart; now emails get zero response.

NHW is the greatest scam. It's all about protecting the builder, not the customer.

If only there was window/curtain-wall where punched is in RK it'd not be so bad. Shame there's no reason for someone to want a view that way...oh wait, it faces the river valley. Nobody wants a river valley view though. Pshaw! All that nature and beauty? Boo! Stucco is where it's at!

Ugh. Anything facing that unobstructed of a view of the valley should be as glassy as possible. What a waste of yet another lot. Another C-class building from BKA.

Might be crystallized matter from our water? Try CLR or a similar product.

You all are complaining too much.
The only thing I'm complaining about is how slow things are moving.
