Ironically at the Airport there is one "handicap" gate installed in the opening of the platform gate, clearly where the turnstiles will go beside in future.

It took them awhile to come out with that didn't it? But regardless the public would always have referred to it as the Skytrain anyways. Its the Private operator who probably wants clear differentiation on the branding in order to clearly show whose who. (or who is better -- only time will tell)

i'm guessing its so that rush hour commuters won't use it on opening day and spoil the festivities with the onslaught of their masses.

besides, ribbon cutters rarely wake up before noon. its a very grueling job. sleep in important.

I thought that the Sexsmith park & ride lot was to be sold by TransLink to provide funding for the Canada Line shortfall - i.e. one of the "funding gap" measures (along with scope changes, etc.) to bring the project within the funding envelope. So it may close in future, even if it's not closing immediately.

i don't know i just remember it being some park n ride in richmond would become walmart

Wow, I can't believe it. The long journey is nearly over!

I'll always remember when RAV died for the first time at that Translink meeting back in 2004. There was a lady in the gallery that shrieked with orgasmic delight at the announcement that it was defeated.

I wonder if she'll be ridin' the rails on opening day? hee hee!

I remember that quite well, man did she piss me off.
