Nice looking project. It's going up in Burnaby?

If it's the project I'm thinking of, yes, it's in Burnaby. But I go by there on the Skytrain every day, and the reality looks far more bleak, at this point, than the renderings. We'll see what the finished project gives.

If I knew how to, I'd fix the pixelation as much as possible.

I agree. I think i'll consider this one a "concept" banner.

Can anyone offer a suggestion on how to make this cleaner ?

Raise the resolution to 1200 lines per inch, then use the blur filter to smoothen out the pixels, then use the sharpen edges filter to sharpen the lines, then reduce the resolution down to the previous settings.

For best results, do it all over again using a higher resolution.

Some construction progress photos of the Edmonton Clinic.

All photos taken by me on Saturday February 7 of 2009. Some rights reserved:

Click photos to enlarge.

Centre of the Edmonton Clinic South (ECS) site. Some excavation work continues in the foreground:

The west-end of the ECS site is still being dug out:

The east portion of the ECS near 114 Street already has some concrete:

A forest of pillars creeping north in the pit of the Edmonton Clinic North (ECN) site. In the distance another yellow-green tarped structure for CCIS is visible above Physical Education East and the Administration building:

Several vertical structures rising above ground level on the southern portion of ECN:

Another construction project gets underway near the Edmonton Clinic: site preparation has started for the U of A heating plant expansion. In what I remembers from the renders, the east and north face of this building (facing the Edmonton Clinic) have some 'architectural treatment' to hide the fact that this will essentially be an industrial warehouse type structure. I believe the architects are ONPA:

More photos available on my Flickr page (first 13 photos in the Campus Construction photo stream): http://www.flickr.com/photos/11774070@N04/sets/72157602048312751/

Thanks.

The banner looks better with the aliasing eliminated, but I think the compression is still set a bit high because there is some visible ringing around some of the edges in the photos.
Setting the quality higher when you save the JPEG should eliminate that...at the cost of a larger file size.

Construction progress photos from Century Park.
Phase 1 is still under wraps. Phase 2 is motoring along and rising nicely. Concrete trucks were lining up for a pour on the north building of phase 2.

All photos taken by me on Saturday February 7 of 2009. Some rights reserved:

Site overview:

Working on the top floor for the south building of phase 2:

Phase 1 still under wraps:

Although a 'glassy' entrance is peaking out:

Pouring concrete for the third floor of the North building of phase 2:

A few more photos (9 in total) available on Flickr in my Edmonton Construction photo stream:

/\ Nope, my bad. I was thinking KPMB... who are doing both the Nano-Tech building on campus and the Balsillie School of Intl. Affairs near Uptown. (more of which can be seen here.
