It is great to see an owner put some forward and unique thinking into their restuarant rather than just open the doors and hope for success! It is a great example to others what can be done with a tired old building with some creative thinking.

Very neat. Can't even express how much better the building looks now than before.

I cant find any photos, but imagine a dilapidated building with chipped white paint, green trim, and dirty old windows.

Exactly! I think that is what the new owners were hoping.

It is the white building in the centre of the shot.

I couldn't find that photo on page 34, but you found it..., a complete 180, classy.

What's the story on the adjacent parking lot?

I believe a twin for the tower on the far left of the photo was the plan for that parking lot... but the company was bought out or something of that sort happened (I can only vaguely remember someone commenting on that quite a few pages back in this thread)... so instead of a tower, we have an empty surface lot... YAY! ...

Oh well.

A4Regina produced this CAD for us a few months ago. Fifteen years ago Wascana Energy bought the lot to build a twin to expand their head office. They were bought out by Nexen, moved to Calgary and it never happened.

Oh yeah. Sorry it was Reginaguy. We are due for another rendering from him soon. Maybe the proposed tower at Hamilton and 11th, next to Tower II

heh, that's okay. I'll try and cook up a quick rendering tomorrow. Does anyone know what the new tower is supposed to look like?

I took a look inside a couple days ago and..... WOW!!!!! The inside of this building when it was Western Pizza was terrible, the changes make it a brand new building. I think this place is going to become very popular. The roof has it's own bar, speakers in the corners and two gas fire pits. There is a little green area on the outside of the sitting area but nothing to exciting. I think it opens to the public tomorrow.
