Future Mayor "Pubic" Square sounds like a place I'd like to be more than a measly .8 miles away from!

I am 1.8 miles east of Main and South Temple In SLC.

Since all mileage (ie; highway sign that says "Denver 20 miles" etc.) is measured from a city hall....I live 8 blocks from the civic center (city hall).

23.6 miles from my home to Downtown Phoenix
---If I took a direct walk in a straight line (going through buildings and such) it would be 12.6 miles

8.1 miles from my home to Arizona State University (where I go to school)

29.5 miles from downtown Phoenix. Not too far at all from what will be Downtown Ocotillo which has a lot of activity going on in it. I like watching South Chandler grow. I bought a house here over six years ago and the only thing I hate are the one lane streets that are perpetually under construction. I think the Chandler airpark will be a really enjoyable place and Santan Village is really nicely done.

I realize this thread is a bit old, but I decided to comment anyway.

In Utah - 143 blocks south west of Central SLC (7 blocks = 1 mile, so that's 20.43 miles)

In California - about 27-28 miles east of San Francisco (too bad the Bay Area doesn't have a nifty grid system like SLC to compute the exact millage)

I am 45 blocks north of the northern edge of the CBD in Provo. I believe that 10 blocks=1 Mile here

=4.5 miles

EDIT:

Google Maps calculates it at 4.3 miles.... so yeah, pretty accurate
