you guys have no idea about how this starbucks announcement will pale in comparison with what Reg and Co are working on right now.

Okayyyy...sounds like this kind of news will be publicly announced sometimes before May '08? Or even before March?

For once as a EAA person I will remain silent...

but its GOOD very GOOD...

Edmonton will be very happy...


Lets just say YYC will be very shocked and the whole ''spoke'' thing will just be a laugh...

Finally we get the cake...

how about a major US airline starting to use as as a transfer point to some place in asia for most North America?

Maybe a charter flight from Asia? That's the only thing I can reasonably see YYC being jealous of and within the realm of possibility, though I would think that Banff is a more attractive destination than Jasper for Asian carriers to pursue. A scheduled flight to Asia seems too far out of the picture to consider.

Amsterdam presently isn't possible, except by charter, but Martinair is consolidating its routes, which leaves Zoom or Air Transat, which I expect would open up other markets out of Edmonton before Amsterdam.

NY would be good, but why would YYC be jealous of that? Same with Frankfurt.
