I'm not sure about 1973. This is probably 1971 or 1972.

The triangle twin towers in the ABC Entertainment Center in Century City (under construction in the background) were completed in 1973. They don't look that far along.
McDonald's Quarter Pounder rolled out nationwide in 1973, but had been developed in California in 1971. Los Angeles probably had them before 1973.
(I wish fast food burgers looked as inviting as they do in billboards. The QP's appearance is sad in real life)

Have we seen the residence of grocer George Ralphs before?

From 1904 book Our Architecture, unnumbered ad pages at back. https://books.google.com/books?id=AFRDAQ...IHVAeL2MQ6AF6BAgFEAM#v=onepage&q&f=false

It was located at 1050 Arapahoe. Its site is now the rear end of a Food 4 Less store.

We were discussing the Rowan Block/Rowan Building recently. Here's the Rowan in question:

They've changed the bun and added cheese since its inception, but the photo on the website is still not a great match for what you receive!

So, would that be the Hollywood Camera Exchange on the corner of Selma & Cahuenga relecting in the window? (Just below Shelley’s Manhole.)

Looking north from Olive and 11th, I think. That's the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco (LA branch) behind the yellow sign that says “National”.

The original 1929 building was designed by John and Donald Parkinson in a Classical Moderne style with elements of Zigzag Moderne. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

e_r: Despite what the seller avers, Nay! We are not "looking north-east along what is now Grand." We are looking north on Justicia from Temple, and the prominent residence foreground left is the longtime home of the Bilderrain family at the northwest corner of Temple and Justicia. Across the street from casa Bilderrain is the lumberyard at which some of the victims of the Chinese Massacre were hanged. Why did they go so far from the place where the Chinese Massacre was mainly happening to hang some here? Because one of the Bilderrains (Jesus B.) was a casualty (injured) in the events leading up to the Massacre.

Deervale Drive.. Sherman Oaks.. All standing-- Plenty of wild party times up there in early 70s .. Ghost inhabited the guestroom too! Neighbor Ralph kept his subordinate partner on the balcony as a doggie in nice weather.. In a "Cheetah" thong- we were non-plussed --
