It seems Fundy St Martins is planning on creating a new park just outside the city limits. On Monday, they will discuss a land agreement and construction plan for Florida Beach, located on Barnesville Road.
The land (PID 00354712) is actually owned by the City of Saint John despite being outside of city limits, which is why they need a land agreement, but it seems like Fundy St Martins will be responsible for construction and upkeep.
This will include a 57-space parking lot, picnic tables and portable washrooms, an 800m+ gravel walking trail, and access to the beach itself.
I've never been to this beach, but this sounds fantastic. Anybody spent time there?
