Another stranger attack including threatening a young mother. Disgusting.

North Vancouver man charged for stranger assaults on Cambie Bridge
VPD officers arrest man who allegedly punched a jogger and threatened a mom and her child

A North Vancouver man is facing charges of assault, threatening and resisting a peace officer after Vancouver police stepped in to stop a suspect allegedly attacking strangers on the Cambie Street Bridge Saturday morning.

Const. Darren Wong, media relations officer with the Vancouver Police Department, said officers happened to be in the area investigating a separate case when they saw the man “behaving erratically” on the bridge.

“He wasn’t just walking along the side of the bridge,” said Wong. “There was a whole litany of behaviours,” including walking into traffic....

...While officers watched, the man threw a punch, unprovoked, at a passing jogger, hitting that person in the arm, said Wong. The jogger appeared to stop for a moment but then kept going, he said. Next, the man appeared to raise his fist “as though he was going to strike” in front of a mother and young child....
