a 67.5 acre suburban campus to serve less than 500 students in an urban area is wildly inappropriate
we could build them a gorgeous campus on 620 next next to to concordia (another urban campus that was relocated)
the conversion of the current campus into parks, retail, residential would pay itself off immediately (Texas school for the deaf is a public entity and does not pay taxes, it is funded by the taxpayer)
add 2 or 3 cross streets to relieve congestions on the 1st/riverside/congress/barton springs intersection, also provide relief to oltorf. we could also rework 1st street to be a more effective artery.
win/win.
