There might be some scaffolding under the guideway where the first crosshead is being formed but it didn't look like there was any formwork so it might have just been there for support.

Has anyone ever seen those cylindrical steel connectors (?) on the top of the guideway columns next to the existing Skytrain line before? There are two in each column and they are parallel with the existing guideway alignment.

EDIT:

There doesn't seem to be much of a gap so maybe they'll be connected. Also it seems like the side of the existing pier caps facing the train tracks look like they've had something done to the face of them. They all have some marking/scarring on them that doesn't exist a year ago.
