Hi guys, about a week ago I updated and tidied Austin's Wikipedia page of tallest buildings, which tracks everything over 300 feet. Give it a look and if there is anything wrong or missing, please let me know! And is there any other way to improve the article? I'd love for someone to write a detailed history section for it.

It's a complete and total failure of our land code (and our leadership of the past 40 years) that to reasonably build 10 units on one lot, you basically have to make a monstrously large structure to maximize the unit sqft and start the units at almost $4mil.

Small apartment buildings should be legal. You can fit 16 units in a 4 floor point access block. Those buildings can fit on any standard SF lot, given there's additional impervious cover and some other regs are relaxed. If only it were legal...

Only 40 years? Ha! This city has been "nuts' for far longer. Yet, folks keep voting the 'nuts" into office. So, maybe it is the citizens' fault and not necessarily the city's?!?

Anyway, I don't have any issue with this infill project. In fact, I actually quite like how it turned out. And, it's priced pretty much in-line with new builds in central Austin (and it has a downtown view).

It doesn't matter if you get 10 units at around 3,600 SF or 20 units at 1,800 SF...the $/SF will remain the same - at roughly $1000/SF.

Vacant lot just outside Central Business District could be home to new office building
