Vacant lot just outside Central Business District could be home to new office building

Plans are in the works for a four-story office building on a narrow vacant lot west of the Capitol and just outside Austin's Central Business District.

The unnamed project would rise on a small, 0.15-acre lot at 815 W. 11th St. that's surrounded by former single-family residences now used for commercial purposes, according to a site plan application filed with the city.

The development would consist of three floors of office space, with the fourth floor set to serve as a residence. The proposed square footage is unclear, but the other improvements would include an access ramp and stairs, a driveway connection to West 11th Street, utilities and landscaping.
