Loves fall, b'ys. Long-sleeved tee with sleeves pushed up, shorts, not sweaty and gross - clean, dry and happy. This is my ideal.

I use this as a resource for nationwide temperature date:

https://www.weatherstats.ca/

It's easy to use, and, comprehensive. You can also look at past data using the "Time Warp" function.

It probably doesn't have the granularity that you're used to with the old EC site, but, the new version of the Environment Canada website is virtually impossible to use if you are trying to look up temperatures from the previous month for multiple cities. I don't know what the hell they were thinking of.

Currently 13C and sunny in Moncton at 11 AM, going up to 20C this afternoon. It dropped to +2.8C overnight.

I see that both Saint John and Fredericton fell to -1.4C overnight and therefore froze. I will update the freeze list again in the next day or two when I do a more comprehensive search.

Sherbrooke QC also froze (-1.3C). All other reporting stations in the eastern five provinces seem safe.

Solid night yesterday. Mild and calm. Smoke from the Washington forest fires crept up into the valley, though.

Also, I was just clicking pics every time I saw red trying to get a shot of it. I could do a photo post of all fall colours from Ottawa that gives a completely inaccurate impression of the relatively low percentage of fall colours

It was another fine day in Vancouver, about 20°C, no detectable smoke, and mainly sunny.

Today was the “atmospheric river” warning that all the news outlets were pimping out for clicks this week in Vancouver… and it turned out mainly sunny.

Today they is definitely the first day of fall in BC.

It’s still mild to warm (22 to 28 in the interior locations and around 20 on the coast) but it’s now going to be fall heat and not summer heat.

The first 20 days of September in BC were a full on summer continuation of August.

Beautiful mild night as well

Low of 5C. Insane daily variation.

The warmspot was Indian Head, SK at 31.5C.

Warmest low was Harrow, ON at 17.9C

10C and sunny in Moncton at 9 AM, going up to 22C this afternoon.

We may see some rain tomorrow - too little, too late.

Warm with thunderstorms overnight, with a low of 20.8. I sat outside last night and watched almost constant lightning out over the lake. The crickets and tree frogs were so loud it was almost too much

Yesterday might have been our last nice summery day, sunny with a high of 25.5 and humidex of 31. The next few days will be unsettled then we gradually fall into a cooler pattern into October

September is normally a summer month in SW Ontario. This September has been notable for being much less humid than usual, and with that, lower night time temperatures. Nobody is complaining though, as it has been sunny and calm almost every day and still plenty warm with temps in the mid 20s. The transition to fall is very gradual here, we average about ten days over 20 in October. I look forward to being able to hike in the woods without mosquitoes in another couple weeks.

September is becoming a summer month here, at least temperature wise. Colours (yellow lol) are coming in strong, lots of trees losing leaves already. Mornings are noticeably cooler, but daytime highs have been in the mid 20s for several weeks. If anything, we could use some rain! but I won't complain, winter is just around the corner.

Global warming is accelerating in a shocking way. I fear that in about 25–30 years the world’s climates will be very different from those we have today

A little rain last night. Completed harvest for the year. This is what we yielded:

48-50 kg of apples (My sister took home around 23 kg (not really measured), I took home 25 kg.)
15 kg of saskatoons
2-3 kg of grapes
2 kg of haskaps
1 kg of chokecherries
1 kg of gooseberries
1 kg of sour cherries

Only got marginal amounts of black currant and am not bothering to pick the crabapple or the rowan, leaving them for the birds.

Perhaps I'll see a couple of these things in early October. Plan is to be in SWO for 3 days, but I'm going to Guelph and then up to Sauble and down the coast of Huron and then St. Clair, and then half way along Erie before cutting up to St. Thomas and heading home from there. Not that I'll be hiking but I'll make quick stops along interesting parks or spots along the shoreline, rivers and ponds.

Been a while since we got rain. And when it did it reeeaalllyyy did. Downpour last night and this morning.

Couple weeks ago from TO Islands. Only 20 degrees that day but brilliant sunshine, as has been the case for so long.

Annoying buzzy bastards on the driveway. Yeah, I went to my shed, grabbed the foam spray and gave them the Pompeii treatment. Like two weeks ago, now my other daughter got stung, on her knee, though at the cottage so now got a wasp trap hanging there. Hope to see hundreds of these mf'ers in the bag when we return.

For some reason, now the nocturnals are using my shoes as dinner plates.

Last Thursday this monarch was in front of the rental car I was picking up. When returning it, this katydid decided to check how much trunk space it had. And my latest rock haul from that night.

Found this poor guy with a broken wing. Next morning he met a predictable end.

Water level down considerably even after just one week. And Rocky the Snake is growing.
