Hopefully they add some RVR sensors and and bring it down to 1200, this could also be super useful in YEG.
A quick update on this.

I saw a copy of the new SA CAT II approach chart at work last week. The minimums will indeed be a DH of 100ft and a RVR of 1600.

So seems YOW/NavCan hasn't yet installed (or maybe won't) a second RVR sensor on 07.

YOW-PVR is up to 4x weekly, with a Sunday flight added from 04JAN26 (this flight was added recently but only for a handful of weeks in Feb/March, so it's been extended)

YHM-NAS 2x weekly has been cancelled, with those frequencies shifting to YHM-FLL bringing it to 5x weekly.
Here's a few other international sun route changes (incorporating @RomanR27's notations above):

For YOW:

PVR 5x/wk ops days X13
NAS 2x/wk ops days 36
LIR 4x/wk ops days 3467
GCM 2x/wk ops days 57
CUN 6x/wk ops days X4

A combined 19x weekly total at the peak up from 9x weekly when their original announcement was made.

For the GTHA (YYZ/YHM):

YYZ:

PVR 5x/wk ops days X14
NAS 5x/wk ops days X24
LIR 5x/wk ops days X36
GCM 3x/wk ops days 246
CUN 10x/wk ops Daily & ops 2x on days 467

So YYZ has gone from 23x weekly at the time of the original announcement to 25x weekly now for the peak, but interestingly YYZ-NAS has been reduced from daily to 5x weekly.

YHM:

YHM international sun has dropped by 2x weekly because of NAS, so it's gone from 8x to 6x weekly.

I'll miss the A340, but it'll be cool to see the A350.

In spite of the AC FA strike in late August, YOW managed to remain net positive in all 3 sectors vs 2024, including remarkably transborder (albeit by a mere +4 pax):

Dom: 367,717 / 372,765 / +1.4%
TB: 55,800 / 55,804 / +0.0% - literally +4 pax
Int'l: 18,789 / 27,343 / +45.5%
TTL: 442,306 / 455,912 / +3.1%

Sector / YTD 2024 / YTD 2025 / % Change
Dom: 2,230,930 / 2,434,439 / +9.1%
TB: 487,958 / 513,705 / +5.3%
Int'l: 320,541 / 336,764 / +5.1%
TTL: 3,039,429 / 3,284,908 / +8.1%

August % of traffic recovered vs 2019 / YTD vs 2019
Sector / August / YTD % recovered
Dom: 95.5% / 90.8%
TB: 109.8% / 106.0%
Int'l: 105.4% / 107.3%
TTL: 97.6% / 94.4%

12 Months Rolling / % Change vs Year End 2023
Dom: 3,635,009 / +13.5%

Some sort of security incident occurred at YYC with 3 flights (all from Germany). 4Y from FRA circled and eventually went to gate, but Condor and 4Y from MUC taxied to remote parts of the airport and deplaned via air stairs.

Seems like they were both escorted in as well.

Why is there a Boeing E-3 Sentry Radar plane flying over downtown Ottawa just now? Apparently it originated in Bangor, Maine, and is from the US Air Force.

I wondered what was going on. Heard the jets screeching overhead for like an hour. I managed to spot 3 of the F-18's. Also saw the refueler I think plus the passenger planes. Very eerie. And there's been no update since yesterday when they cleared the planes. Weird to have 3 bomb threats called in for flights from Germany to activate NORAD. Are Russians behind this?

I was driving northbound on Deerfoot from McKnight right around that time and I didn’t see or hear anything! I must have had my tunes cranked too loud!

Heading to Ottawa for a few days (work) - I think it's my first time since I was a teenager. The bus from the airport to downtown seems reasonable. Traveling light so the walk from Rideau Hall to downtown shouldn't be anything (I assume it's safe?) - and the bridge across definitely carries pedestrians too, ha!

Do you mean Rideau Hall (the Governor General's home) or Rideau Centre, the mall where the transit is? Rideau Hall is certainly walkable downtown for someone who likes to walk but I wouldn't describe it as "shouldn't be anything", it is a but of a hike, so I'm assuming you mean the mall where you take the transit from the airport?

Let's go.

Flying over Harbour Breton, looking at St. Pierre, France. Next stop, mainland Canada

Didn't realize we had to fly over Maine. Boo.

Made it. Was on the wrong side for Ottawa but caught MTL. Ottawa looks cool from the air - big in the Japanese way with a couple apartment blocks peppered everywhere.

Yes - and they had free WiFi like Europe. I've been sleeping on Porter.

There free "premium snacks" also include the almonds dopped with olive oil. Much better than anything on Air Canada or WestJet.

WestJet does not even have real cream with their coffee.

Otherwise, great photos.
