lol, that's very hard to find this year. Grass that's perpetually in the shade (under heavily tree'd areas) has stayed mostly green, but anything exposed to the sun has long turned yellow and died. There's been a little pop in colour from the rain we had a few days ago, but we're deep into drought territory.
Both June and July have been incredibly dry, under 50% of our typical precipitation for both months now (July being closer to only 40%). Along with a relatively calm winter, there's no mistake as to why this has been our worst forest fire season in a very long time.
