It's actually less expensive than 62 East. $255/sf vs $301/sf.

The site plan was never approved, and there haven't been any updates to it in five months.

Any updates regarding the site plan? The parking lot is fully barricaded off.

The site plan status has been "waiting on legal" for months. I was wondering if it's related to the same mess with the Statesman PUD? But on a positive note, if the parking lot is blocked off for this project maybe the issue has been resolved and the site plan has not been updated. I'll keep checking.

Also, the site plans for 506 West and 14th & Lavaca have been "waiting on legal" for many months as well. Too many lawsuits affecting development are going on.

Nice update. The site plan is still waiting on legal. I was hoping it would be updated on Friday because updates seem to happen most often on Fridays.

Fencing now around the entire site and lines against the trail. They are trying to get this one going.

It didn't exactly get value engineered. It switched to residential (1/2 Apt. & 1/2 Condo). There are renderings on the previous page in this thread. It still looks good IMO.

I think you literally took the words out of my mouth - I think it's a more contemporary look that hopefully will age well. The green design already looks a little pre-pandemic, if you know what I mean.

Is "pre-pandemic" going to become an architectural buzzword?

Fingers crossed. It looks like the site plan is about to be approved since the legal hold was just released. This looks like a legit start.

The newer renderings are Great and I Really Like the 50/50 Apt/Condo ratio for the project.

There needs to be ratios of Apt/Condo on all the larger projects along All Major Corridors. Lamar, Congress, Burnet and Hwy 183. This would help provide more affordable/starter housing in this city. After a certain number of units in a project, the city should be allowed to mandate a certain percentage of units in the development as, "for sale units." I understand that on small projects this will kill development, however, the size of a lot of what has been built could have maybe 15% - 20% of the development as Condos. Stand alone or visually attached but separate entities. Maybe this is Pie-in-the-Sky...uhm...socialism think, especially here in TX. But entry level housing Is Not Being Built where it needs to be built! That is Undisputed.
