Pierre has copied Singh of all leaders... Singh made the promise to remove GST from Cdn produced autos - Pierre out with the same promise today.

Mark Carney’s Secret Weapon? Being Reasonable

Reasonableness is also premised on a powerful aesthetic construction. Whatever the substance of his message, Carney both looks and sounds reasonable, not just because he’s an expert economist who speaks with confidence but also because our politics is premised on the idea that leaders who look and sound like him must be reasonable. Carney fits the bill; he fits the constructed image of our reasonable politician: an older, white, male professional who exudes a kind of father-figure appeal to voters who want someone in charge who will protect them during a chaotic time—steady hand on the tiller and all of that.

...

Think of Conservative Party leader Pierre Poilievre, for instance, and how he’s been constructed and sold as a sort of hyper-masculine pugilist who’s quick with the details and a certain answer to whatever problem he’s meant to think through. He’s something between an uber-Chad YouTuber and the kid in your undergraduate class who’s about to respond to the professor with “Well, actually.” The bit works with his base, but for millions of Canadians, he doesn’t read as likeable or reasonable.

One of the biggest reasons that Poilievre will lose: Canadians generally view him as unlikeable.
And with Trump's lunacy they don't think he has what it takes to be PM during this unprecedented time.

Lol “My” posts read as all caps whine fests?!

Are you seriously blind and dumb when you type out the nonsense you post, with your ridiculous pictures and name calling?!

I argue for the betterment of Canada by lobbying for the government to stop hamstringing our industry and thus the economy and the overall betterment of Canadian’s lives… you just simply bitch and call people ridiculous names.

Brookfield Asset Management under Carney's watch had been working on purchasing Colonial Pipeline - the largest pipeline in America.

This had been in the works for the past year and it was just reported yesterday that the deal is going ahead.

Colonial pipeline is currently owned by the Quebec teachers union and ownership will be transferred to Brookfield Asset Management.

Colonial Pipeline extends from Texas to New York. An Energy East pipeline in Canada would be a competitor to Colonial Pipeline since both take the product to the Atlantic ocean.

Furthermore, it was discovered that Brookfield Asset Management has ownership in most of the Canadian portions of pipelines from Alberta.

Any new pipelines built in Canada would be direct competitors to Brookfield Asset Management's pipelines, and (via his multi-million dollar shates), Mark Carney's holdings.

On Tuesday Mark Carney said he will not repeal Bill C69, meaning it will be impossible to get new pipelines built in Canada.

With this new knowledge of Brookfield/Carney's ownership in existing pipelines, this is a massive conflict of interest.

This needs to be exposed, LPC supporters need to be aware what they are voting for. Carney's support of C69 has nothing to do with "net-zero, and everything to do with protecting his investments in other pipelines.

And creating an account purely to complain about Carney and Brookfield means they suffer from CDS

PP and Manning publicly disagreeing on an issue at this time doesn't seem to speak of a well-organized campaign.

When the Prime Minister of the country owns millions of dollars of shares in Brookfield (who is now a foreign company) and is actively pushing policies to protect his own personal investments, every citizen should be paying attention.

One of the biggest nooses around PP's neck is Danielle Smith. Many say that she doesn't realize what damage she is causing to the Tory campaign but I think the exact opposite, she knows how much damage she is causing PP and is loving every minute of it.

Smith has always been a closet separatist and now she is coming out of said closet as her recent actions have shown. She has set out some hard policies that must be implemented or, as she herself has stated, "it would cause a national unity crisis". She knows that a Carney gov't maybe receptive to some of her ideas but not all and she has made it clear that all of her demands are non-negotiable.

A Carney gov't would play exceptionally well into her Alberta-Ottawa battle and she would show it as yet another example of why Alberta needs to go it alone. This is made much worse by a decade of Trudeau. Conversely a PP gov't would make such arguments far less potent.

Smith can be accused of a lot of things but being politically unsavvy isn't one of them. She knows EXACTLY what she is doing.........she is on Team Red and is eager for a Carney win and especially a majority one. As far as PP is concerned, Smith considers him nothing more than collateral damage.

Carney winning will spell the end of Canada and give Trump what he wants - control over Canada's resources.

First there will be a massive brain drain south.
Second Alberta will separate.
Followed by Saskatchewan and then Quebec.
Ontario, BC and Atlantic Canada won't be able to remain a country as just themselves, it logistically won't make sense.

And that will be that, no more Canada.

That is what will happen if Carney wins. It will be our last time voting in a Canadian Federal Election.

If you don't like Pierre, then don't vote for him. But please be aware what the alternative scenario will be.

If that's what you want, great, vote LPC.

But according to polls, interest in secession is relatively low in Alberta. It's the opposite of a national unity crisis if you call a referendum and it fails by a large margin. What is the analog to "rolling the iron dice" in the political arena?

People can vote against their own interests but Alberta separation based on economic concerns never made much sense to me as they want access to exports and this becomes harder if you convert yourself into a landlocked country with geography like Uzbekistan. It's even more obvious these days with Trump, and this is nowhere near as bad as it can get. We have also seen an increase in solidarity within Canada and Alberta could cash in on that.

What brain drain to the south - seems more people want to come north and escape Trump?

Absolutely don't like Pierre. Based off his voting record he would destroy everything that is left of what is uniquely Canada and then we would be the 51st state.

Carney is a moderate, smart business person and I think he knows what needs to be done to bolster development, international relations. If he was good enough for Harper and Flaherty - well, good enough for me!

Mark Carney wants more Chinese investment in Canada. If you think Chinese interference is bad now, just wait a few years.
