As I said earlier, his version of "reduce dependency" is a pipeline and change of few internal trade rules while sending $19B for F-35s to the US.
Now I don't believe it's practical to fully disengage from the US. But I think people want to see at least sentiment and a willingness to craft a strategy. You don't get that energy from this guy. It comes off as just a desire to tinker. Compare that to Carney's declaration that our old relationship with the US is over. I think this is closer to where most Canadians actually are.
