So far he obviously didn't have a good start and I don't know what he could do to gain support so it's about holding what he has. Carney and the Liberals will need to have a campaign without big stumbles if they are to maintain their lead.

Conservative/Poilievre supporters do seem to be angrier and more determined on average. I guess we will see if that sparks a bigger turnout on their side. They do have a pretty huge natural vote inefficiency disadvantage to make up for if they want to have any chance on April 28.
Some of the Carney support is no doubt a bandwagon thing, almost a "fashion". He's the thinking man's "Trudeau 2015". The opposite foil to nasty Poilievre.
Carney is obviously not as charismatic and attractive as early years PMJT, but arguably way more competent which sort of allays some of the bitter disappointment that many usual Liberal voters have over the 10 years that have gone by.
Under normal circumstances a smarter less charismatic version of JT probably doesn't get the feel-good softer vote out like angry right wingers can, but the situation with Trump/US makes a huge difference this time.
It's still Carney for me.
