She's a boot licker and a disgrace to Canada and Pierre seems just fine with it.
Unfortunately, with the RCMP investigating Smith and the UCP for illegal activity, and their corruption scandal making national news, I predict Smith will be travelling a lot more to America in the coming months.

She is acting guilty as hell, and wants to avoid accountability at all costs, and sadly, that would include borderline treason.

forget the Liberal derailing and elbows up nonsense. Trump is a convenient distraction from a Lost Liberal Decade.

So, with all of that, why do you think Canadians have lost trust in the Conservatives and favour the Liberals?

They are still going on with the tariffs, The Laura Ingram interview where he continues with the 51st state crap and goes on about trudeau, who is long gone now, just confirms that she had zero impact. Which could suggest that he was being honest when he said the conservatives were no friend of his.
She is asking Trump officials to interfere in our election to help a more favourable side for him to get elected.
She wants the tariffs paused not to help Canadian but to help her side win an election and benefit Trump.

No one is stopping them from saying anything.

At the end of the days provinces need to work with each other and the federal government.

Her demands basically amount to Alberta wants pipelines in BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec and those provinces should have no say in the matter. Not likely. While I think there were be piplines, but it is going to have to meet environmental standards are respect the needs of the local communities that are tanking on the environmental risks.

Technically, the provinces have no say in the matter. People in those provinces, however, ...

Danielle Smith asked for foreign interference in our election. She is a traitor and should resign as Premier of Alberta.

The difference is Trump and that the CPC is stuck with the most annoying leader of all time.
Agreed. By all metrics, CPC should have this election in the bag.

And yet there's that pesky (and astonishing) turnaround in apparent voter support.

Many polls right now have the NDP around 9-10% , IF true then the LPC wins. If NDP can rebound by end of campaign up to 13-15%, CPC will win.

-If Bloc numbers remain similar (LPC 7-10 points ahead) AND the NDP stays single digits you will have a LPC majority.

-If Bloc numbers remain and tie/lead LPC in Quebec, and the NDP drifts back to 14-15%, CPC will win this election hands down.

Keep an eye on these metrics as we head through the coming weeks. It's anyones race.

I think that's the real key metric to watch. If the CPC support stabilizes in the high 30s then you need to keep your eye on where the NDP and BQ vote is as the campaign goes on. If the CPC drops into the low to mid 30s then it's probably all but over for them.

Liberals benefit greatly right now with the collapse of the NDP and BQ vote. It's very soft support, but they need to keep it to win.

I can see Maple MAGA loosing the CPC atlead 5% more points now that an election is called and they will make their opinions heards, ie see Danielle Smith today.

I know. I was just responding to his comments that Carney running in Ottawa will somehow be a plus for him in Quebec.

The other thing I took from that is she was asking for another pause in the tariffs for the duration of the campaign. Pauses are mostly useless. We know they are still coming and due to the earlier tariff calls we know he can flip flop on enacting them on a moments notice.

While we know practically speaking a pause is the best we can get, our leaders should be arguing for guarantees that tariffs are off the table and/or are much more restricted than the current shotgun everything tactics going on. (And considering how worthless the Puppet Felon's word is, even guarantees are worthless but they'd be something I guess)

Asking for a pause during the campaign is just implying we're all gullible. And it's as insulting as calling us the 51st state.

98% of Canadian celebrities that have broad name recognition you’d want for a political endorsement probably live in the USA.

I doubt many will move back to Canada, though sure some might say they are thinking about it now.

It’s likely equivalent to liberal Americans saying they’ll move to Canada if W Bush/Trump 1/Trump 2 get elected.

Poor judgement, or perhaps they're so confident that they don't care? Shades of JT appointing his childhood friends to cabinet.

Solomon was fired from the CBC after a Star investigation found that he was taking secret commissions to sell art to people he encountered as a CBC host, including Mark Carney.

Quote:
In email correspondence between Solomon and art collector Bruce Bailey, Solomon uses code words to disguise the identity of each man: Carney is “the Guv” and Balsillie is “Anka,” the latter an apparent reference to a similarity in looks with singer Paul Anka.
In one email exchange from 2014 — after Carney made a purchase — Solomon tells his art collector partner that Carney’s international contacts will be very important as they move forward in their attempts to sell more paintings.
“Next year in terms of the Guv will be very interesting. He has access to highest power network in the world,” Solomon writes.

[...]

Solomon, in an email to Bailey, noted Carney has a “super sensitive” position in England and Carney had advised him that he had to be very “discreet” about this purchase. Solomon provided Bailey with Carney’s home address for shipping and Bailey handled those arrangements.
In another email, in December 2014 after the Carney deal, Solomon reiterated that Carney could help them access the “highest power network in the world.” Solomon concluded by saying “contacts for other buyers — Doig size — will be in the offing.”

I know you are referencing the GDP per capita chart that every conservative has been sharing on social media, but that is absolutely not the same thing as the 'weakest economy in the OECD".

GDP per capita decreased in Canada over the last three years because of our high population growth....we did this to keep the economy growing and to slow inflation....Canada's economy is strong and its GDP (economy) has been growing at a good rate.

In fact, since 2019, Canada has had the second strongest economic growth in the G7. Second only to the US.

Do you have statistics for the homelessness, addiction and health care comparisons to 2015, because I think you will be surprised at what you find.

Housing increases are a perfectly straight line for 25 years and food costs have increased globally, but you are right, those are the things they have to try and get into the discussion...they are impacts of the pandemic and are the things that got every sitting government kicked out in every country in the western world.

They have completely lost the plot on the single issue that is driving the election so their only hope is to try and make it not about that thing....its a big hill to climb but maybe they can do it....i'm not sure our biggest trading partner wanting to crush our economy is just a distraction....that's the same belief that has caused Pierre to lose a 25 point lead.

OECD data

If you take away the last three years, we go from 2nd last place...to 2nd last place!

Our economic growth has been poor. Even Carney admits this. You need to get on message.

From the debate:

So our economy was weak before we got to the point of these threats from President Trump."
