They look cool but that amount of office space being added at that time wouldn't just mean the potential loss of Old City Hall (although I'm not sure why that's the only possible location they could have been built at). But also, the resulting drop in office demand may have meant office towers like FCP and CCW, completed im 1975 and 1972 respectively, may never have been built. I personally wouldn't cry too many tears over FCP as it was never one of my favourites, but I'd consider CCW to be a pretty big loss.
