Harper inherited a Liberal War commitment and went on to prosecute that war while rebuilding airlift and Ship building capacity. Kudos to Trudeau that he has left those things be. The Democrats and NATO made the Liberals increase Defence spending. Given the choice Trudeau would not spend another dime but times have changed, except the new guy thinks he can punt until 2030. Mmmm.
Harper added 168 Billion to the National Debt that included a world economic Forum ask of 50 Billion to recover from the 2008 crash. Trudeau firehosed borrowed money and doubled a 158 year old Nations debt to 1.2 Trillion with a T and Green theft all over the place.
Time will tell how both men are judged.
