That said, getting under Trumps skill is a positive. Especially at a point in time where Trump was refusing to return JT calls and still going full forward on tariffs. Would there be other more direct way of getting Trump to take notice? Perhaps.

No one has inferred the possibility of Canadian interference in a US election except you. Not sure why you're trying to minimise the situation with this irrelevant talking point.
What's being called out is the hypocrisy of the one delivering this message, given that Trudeau's government isn't setting a better example. It's literally throwing stones from a glass house.
Getting under his skin is likely a big reason why a highly distracted President seems to have an unhealthy obsession with Canada in his first 100 days in office. My bet is that the electorate believes that PM Carney won't make such foolish moves if he succeeds Trudeau and wins the subsequent election. At least that's the hope, but I guess it's always a wildcard if your key political operatives are the TruAnon idiot duo Katie Telford and Gerald Butts.
