I think you are overestimating just how much better healthcare is in other provinces.
Holt's biggest issue may turn out to be managing expectations. There is no single magic bullet to fix our system. Yes, money can help (and is needed) but it's not the solution by itself. We are already spending more per capita than many systems that produce better outcomes than ours.
System wide reform needs to be seriously considered and that will come with political costs. Unfortunately, over the past 60+ years Canadians have been brainwashed into thinking our healthcare system is the "one true way" and any major changes can bring out the torches and pitchforks and howls of "Americanization"
