NW Portland - Part 1

NW Portland - Part II

The sky was incredible today so I used my afternoon to walk around and snap photos of my neighborhood.

Hope you enjoy!

Great photos. You beat me to it with the neighborhood tour! I've been planning to do Northwest for quite a while, but I've been putting it off for some reason... Such a great neighborhood!

Hahaha... Sorry, I wasn't trying to cut you off with your tours! It was just so perfect today I had to get out and enjoy it... It makes me so hopeful about what the Spring is going to be like!

^ Definitely agree. The winter has been long for me, having just moved from Phoenix in August and not being used to quite as much rain & clouds. The past two weeks have been great, though, and I'm getting excited, too, about spring!

Oh, and no need to apologize about beating me to the punch. These are great photos, and I love to see pics of Portland at any time. I'll still get to the tour of Northwest, hopefully within a month or two.

These photos almost make me cry. It looks so nice & pleasant. Green grass, flowers blooming, no dirty black snow alongside the roads, etc... Great photos!

(and by the way, *thank you* for splitting these photos into two threads... makes it soooo much easier for me to view them without my computer freezing up)

^ Sorry about that... I don't know if it's Imageshack, or if the file size of the photos is too large, or if I put too many in one thread... That's unfortunate. If anyone has any ideas, let me know.

Edit: I don't want to hijack realm's thread, so if you have advice, you can PM me...

Nice. I've been all over Portland but don't recall these scenes. Where exactly is this in comparison to downtown (or, rather, how far to the Northwest?)

I love Northwest Portland. NW 21st Avenue is my favorite street in the area.

I live in the neighborhood, and it's about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown. This area photographed lies directly west of the Pearl District, and northwest of downtown. I like 21st Ave too -- lots of great restaurants and bars, a great sidewalk scene on warm summer nights, and Trader Joe's
