We are at the point where the stadium is going to have barely more than half the seating capacity it had in the late 80s, with little room for temporary expansion. Seems kind of short sighted, especially given that there is room to put the arena somewhere else on the site.
Also, send those arena plans to Winnipeg... we need a rink just like that!

When Lansdowne Park was redeveloped ten years ago, the actual park was a key feature. We don't want to mess with the park too much, so the arena will be built where the berm is today, and will itself become the berm.
Looking at the space between the arena and field, and the space behind the future North Side Stands, maybe the west side where we currently have a terrace, I think it could be possible to add up to maybe 10k seats.
