Incredible news for Fort McMurray! Apparently the rendering for the tower and bridge have yet to be revealed, but it should be relatively soon!

Quote:
FORT MCMURRAY - One of Canada’s oldest seaplane bases is being closed to make way for 27-storey condominiums and a $77-million pedestrian bridge.

A slice of history to some, the Snye is also the centrepiece of the municipality’s massive downtown revitalization effort. With its population expected to double to more than 200,000 over the next few decades, Fort McMurray is starved for living and office space, and planners envision the Snye as the ideal location for high rises, restaurants and a promenade.

Blueprints call for gleaming skyscrapers with 2,500 residences along the shore, and a pedestrian bridge cutting across to MacDonald Island, site of a recreational facility and golf course and a proposed sports and entertainment centre.
