The Jasper east proposal is part of a TOD plan for the area, It's like apples and oranges vis-a-vis downtown projects. I'd also argue that east Jasper is a much nicer place to live at the current time that east side of downtown. The neighborhood that development is located in has an average home value of $451k.. all things being equal, Jasper east is a far more desireable location for a TOD than say, Century Park.

Interestingly enough, I've received word from the city that we are to meet re: upgrades to the East Jasper area. There are some big things coming down the pipe.
And the Millwoods to downtown low floor transit that is to come is not a TOD plan for the quarters? It comes down to self preference rather than which is better I guess. You don't know me personally to make a fair inquiry whether I am helping transform the area. I just graduated with a Commerce degree this past April and only started planning my savings for a down payment. When I am in the position to get a place, downtown and quarters will definitely be my first choices.

As for the Coast, seems like good news to me. Gives way for more new hotels.
