The south lakefront (and really the south side, in general) is really under utilized despite the large ammenities it actually has. IIT, Comiskey, U of C, McCormick Place, ...
It really seems that the olympics and just old-fashioned bold thinking has inspired an "awakening" that maybe will one day link downtown all the way to woodlawn with thriving neighborhoods. I mean, seriously, OFFICE SPACE? Who does the south side think they are, River North?

Unlike other cities that maybe don't have the land potential, ammenities or will to grow, chicago just needs to keep the people flowing in...
