I lived in the downtown eastside in '92-'93 and was the victim of numerous crimes so i can't even imagine what it's like now but i'll bet prison is safer

I recall several decades ago, the Guardian Angels being called in to keep order in the New York subway, after a spate of brutal crimes there. I wonder how they made out.
