Couple things jump out: Restaurants are short-staffed. I've never waited so long for a coffee. Security officers are exceptionally friendly. At the conference I'm attending, audience questions. Wow. Mainlanders give a 2-3 minute preamble all about themselves. I couldn't even tell you what the question was in the end, but the presenters seem to understand Mentioned to my boss and he said he had the same impression. It's so quiet at night. No yelling or sirens like home. I understand they're not impressed with transit here but it's great to me.
