Yes, I think it’s quite an interesting take to claim Carney wouldn’t have dealt with businessmen and Wall Street bankers and other scumbags from New York, in his career as an economist and financial expert, or as the Governor of two ratings agencies that set prime interest rates for every bank and lending institution in their country.
I think someone needs to rewatch The Big Short to remind themselves what types of people Mark Carney dealt with as a central banker… people with egos rivalling that of Trump.
I’m sure Mark Carney has interacted with way more with people like Donald Trump and the Jordan Belforts and other scummy bankers of the world… The closest thing to Trump in Canadian politics and business would be PP himself and Kevin O’Leary.
Thank God we don’t have a system where we run a ticket for PM and Vice PM like the US does every four years. That would be a Doomsday Ticket 💀
