Great Portland thread...no doubt the best I've seen.

Thanks for the in depth, full gamut look in the Rose City

I think we'd all be hard pressed to find too many other downtowns in this country that are as pedestrian friendly as Portland. Nice photo thread!

Excellent work, realm. Probably my favorite Portland thread yet

I just ate here tonight before checking out the fireworks at the Waterfront Park...

Oh, and is that an Oregon City shot I see snuck in there (Willamette Falls)?

I should get down there at some point. It wouldn't be that hard to drive down for a few days. Something to think about.

Nice thread.

That looks to be 405 just south of the Freemont Bridge.

Thanks for all the great comments, everyone!

@ForAteOh: That's funny, while you were at the Greek Cusina I was next door at the Rialto! And yes, that is an Oregon City photo disguised among all the others. It was too cool to leave out but then I forgot to label it!

@daniel_t: Actually that pic is taken on I-405 just after you cross the Femont Bridge over the Willamette.

Love it. Good chance I'll be moving here Sept 2009, threads like this make me dread it a little less!

^ IMO there's really nothing to dread, except the winter blues. After being used to Southern California sun you might be in for quite a shock your first winter. Nothing can really prepare you for it. Otherwise it's a fantastic place to live and I would recommend it to most anyone. It has the best of city life, mixed with a certain indefinable quaintness.
