My son and I took the MAX downtown to go to the rally marking the 5th anniversary of the start of the war. Seemed like a pretty good turnout, but apparently it was a lot smaller than last year’s march (I wasn’t here, so I have no idea). We joined the march for a few blocks, and cut in front to take pictures at other times. Anyway, here are some pics.
It started raining pretty hard and everyone went crazy cheering…
Some hail mixed in, too…
That’s it. I wasn’t there too long. My son was getting tired of walking and getting soaked, so we hopped back on the Blue Line and came home.
anyone else see this exhibit? They put a bunch of flags, each one representing 5 dead in the war. American forces were red, Iraqi's were white. The row of red flags only lasted a for it seemed 10 feet while the white flags went on and on and on... several blocks of the park by PSU was covered. An interesting perspective on the matter. I took a bunch of pics. I really need to find a host for my images!
and I loved today's weather. Made for some great photo lighting in between downpours!
