Looks like Denver is well on it's way to developing a nice liveable urban core.

Good pictures.

Omg!

Wow...just wow! Some of those pictures are simply breathtaking! What a great representation of the spirit of the city, great angles and perspectives, and just a massive collection of adjacent neighborhoods!

I have to say this is simply the best Denver thread I've seen since joining the forum.

Holy shit. These areas of Denver have been done on SSP many times, but you happened to capture Downtown, City Park, Lodo in a complete new and unique way. What an Amazing job!

I love the Highlands shots, and the Cheesman Park shots!

Very enjoyable photo thread!

There are a lot of great cities west of Chicago, but for me personally, Denver is the only one outside of the actual west coast cities that I'd be willing to relocate to. It has a large enough population to offer all of the big city amenities (sports & arts), a sizable youth population (20s & 30s) to keep it interesting, the Rockies nearby for great outdoor activities, a fairly decent climate (other than being a little more hot than I prefer in the summer), an ambitious rail expansion project, a good mix of old & new architecture, and the fact it's not in a red state makes it even more palatable. So needless to say, I very much like that city!

Fantastic thread! The most comprehensive tour of Downtown Denver and a few of the surrounding neighborhoods I have seen on SSP! Makes me proud of what is happening here and more appreciative of what we are becoming. Thanks!

Very diverse Denver thread. You captured a lot of areas and represented the city well. I am still waiting for somebody there to go into the Five Points and Whittier Hoods.

Love all these Denver threads, especially the shots of downtown in this one. Would love to live there someday

I've yet to see anyone try and capture the Blue Mustang from Hell in all its glory, though. That thing both intrigues and terrifies the ever-loving fuck out of me

Judging by the lack of windows, I'm guessing this is some sort of governmental building and/or correctional facility?

Nope. That is the main building of the Denver Art Museum. I'm guessing the lack of windows is to keep sunlight out?

amazing! you covered most everything around the central core and the innermost neighborhoods. I love the fact that you captured the vitality and density of downtown. The 16th st. pedestrian mall is one of the best things that ever happened to the city. Congrats on a job well done.

Reference to the Denver Nuggets (NBA), Chauncey Billups (AKA: Smooth)? While he earned the name, Mr. Big Shot on the national scene in Detroit, locally in Denver he is known simply as "Smooth."
