There was news lately about Gatineau planning an "Urban Village" up in the Plateau area.
I mentioned how it would fail if it did not have proper rapid transit connections, because people will still need cars to get up there.
With the huge number of houses planned for the empty land north of Aylmer, it is unfortunate that a transit corridor has not been planned parallel to Boulevard des Allumettières.
So it got me thinking, how could this be done? There is rail already to the Gatineau sector, and it would be easy to carve a ROW west of St-Raymond. But how to connect the two? with a bit of infrastructure investment, here's an idea:
