I could see that. Quite rare to see a direct connection between a residential building and a mass-transit station. If the (a) hotel lobby were to be on that corner, they could have connected.
I think it's a case of Claridge agreeing to let the City take that corner while forgoing any potential connection, regardless of what would have been built.
I hope Morguard's Hilton Complex one day plugs into the station.
