^So what are people's opinions on the likely demo of St. Mary's School? Is it a valuable historic treasure for Saskatoon, or a pile of bricks ready for the wrecking ball?
i have never really seen the building but from the picture on the front page it looks alright. i would say save it. unless the building that would be replacing it would be architecturally beautiful. but i doubt that

No dates were mentioned in the report. There's also no mention of its existence on Meridian's web site. Hopefully something will show up in the near future.
Current projects by both companies look promising. Looks like we might finally get that shinny new glass tower (well at least 14 floors) we've all been waiting for.
Yea my vote is for Lake Placid. I cant see Concorde, who are responsible for many hideous strip malls in this city, to be able to come up with something fitting for River Landing, even if they're teamed up with this WAM, who don't impress me either.

looking at both Concorde and WAM websites, it looks like neither has built anything other than boxes. I wonder if they even use architects or designers
i wouldnt want the whole parcel y land to be taken up by one tower, i think it would be better to have a tower and then some 4-6 condos with store fronts bellow across from the persephone
i walked on the river bank today parcel y is a huge area i am sure they will do somethiing like you said jonitecture. Any ways the walk way is really being developed. The pavilion has walls allready. the water park has started construction and the ampitheather is pretty much comepleted. im sure the roads and river front will be pretty much done by this fall (srry no pictures)

Hurrah! I love the Centuria on the Park project that Lake Placid has. Imagine a building like that on our riverbank! That would be a first for Toon Town.. for the whole province even.
As long as something is built in my life time I really don't care anymore. But saying that the Lake Placid Developments would look good along the river.

they supposibly started brick and concrete work on the interior at the middle of may. They are also adding another floor for a pent house. i hope it will work.
is there a website for the contractor? i just had a horrible premonition that the building will be ruined, i dont think it is a good idea to add another floor
