It's interesting to watch the Broadway and Cambie area for drop offs. Even before the Skytrain construction, the outside lanes were always bus lanes, no parking, etc.
No matter what though, you'll never stop delivery vans, Ubers, taxis, people dropping older people off for medical appointments, and Doordashers from just stopping in those lanes for a few moments.
They painted them red for half a block and it didn't change anything. If you put a big Dr's office or a Chipotle there, people will stop for a minute or two no matter what.
