I honeslty didn't really notice much smell of the ocean when I went out west. Then again my nose might have been burnt out by the Prairies...

Lol, and I remember working as a waiter in Old Montreal and having tourists constantly telling me 'The seafood must be so fresh here! You pick up the catch of the day just a few blocks away, right?'.

Can't really blame them for thinking that given the row of lobster restaurants on the east side of Saint-Paul street.... Then I had to inform them that most of it came from another country, and that any 'local' product was likely long-hauled from the maritimes in an 18-wheeler.

Obviously I didn't say it that way though... Gotta get dem tips !

But yeah. Montreal is earthen all the way. No sea salt smell in these parts.

Don't be fooled by the big waves in Lake Ontario, that was in the stormy/windy day

With big lakes and flat terrain, comes the strong wind. It's way way windier than Vancouver.

I lived in TO for 16 years, and I hated it when the wind ruined my hairdo almost every day. Yes, I have great hair

I feel uncomfortable/not at home when I can't smell it. It's a good smell.

Never been a huge fan of Tour CIBC but that picture makes me see why so many people love it. Really great shot!

Yeah I understand. Though Tour de la Bourse has always been one of my favorites in the country. I'm not sure why. It's just so stoic but elegant at the same time. I dunno!

I've always loved Tour CIBC and, of course, Place Ville Marie is a classic and Canada's most iconic skyscraper.

People will hate me for this but I've never liked Place Ville Marie. I find it insanely bulky with very average aesthetic. I've never been able to find any redeeming qualities for PVM from what I've seen. However, I should note that all I've ever really seen of PVM is photos on here. So if anyone has a link to a photo tour of the place, feel free to post it!
