While there is no question we want to be successful.

I would prefer policies that are grounded in "Canadian values" and ethics.

Through our history we have done things because it was the right thing to do.

When our forces have been involved in conflicts it has been because it was the right thing to do. Putting Canada first would have involved being neutral.

We have tried to treat other less advantaged countries with dignity and respect. We have helped when and where we could. Putting Canada first would have involved staying home and ignoring them.

We've had weekly anti-semitic marches, chants and intimidation largely go unpunished in cities across the western world for the past year and a half with the complicity of people who are now losing their minds over a gesture by Elon Musk who is on the record as a moral and financial supporter of Israel.

If I was a Jewish person or Israel itself, I wonder who I'd take my chances with: the selective outrage crowd or Musk?
