Took Fukuoka a week to repair a massive sinkhole that developed. Wowza.

I would say a year in Regina - with all that underground infrastructure, there is no way Regina could pull this off.

City of Regina couldn't repaint all the road line markings in a week.

It's on Albert across from the strip mall with the Running Room and Slo-Food Pub. Anex was there more than once I think and some Arts group as well.

Was originally Joseph Petick's architecture (now p3a) office.

Adds about 950 people to it.

Come February when the population stats are released I suspect we're at 245,000 give or take 1000.

Great shot of the new copper dome in the LP today. Looks like a layer of copper is around the lower part of the dome as well. Not sure if they have copper there before or not.

It's hard to tell but I don't think I see it on Bing's bird's eye imagery nor the City's.

I wondered if Sprout (which is in the Viterra building now) would have any interest in moving into the Albert/Vic corner of the building - doesn't look like it's being finished for a restaurant/retail, but I also haven't stopped to take a peek in the window.
The addition of Sprout to the Viterra building was a part of the on-going renovation work in that building - thus, i'd say about a 0% chance that they move to a location fronting Albert Street (even though it would result in a better presence and recognition).

If there was any consideration for this it would have been done before renos started.

I was thinking he was referring to the lantern observation deck at the top of the dome. It's been closed to the public for decades now.
