I didn't say it was the best stadium in the MLS, just that it has the best scale. The grandstands are bigger and more imposing then any in the MLS, similar to some of those in England
Well, it depends if you still consider BMO a "Soccer specific stadium.
The definition of soccer-specific is "does it have a regulation sized field", "is it grass". That's it. And yes, BMO is still the largest soccer-specific stadium in NA and will be for quite some time (no soccer-specific stadiums beyond 27k seats exist in the league other than BMO and no plans for larger SS stadiums have been made). All the soccer-specific stadiums coming on stream in MLS are less than 25,000 seats since they're mostly new franchises.

BMO has improved, no doubt. And when the fix that one end, it'll be that much better. It will feel more intimate because it's more enclosed. However, I think those other FULLY enclosed stadiums (ie. Red bull) provide more intimacy and thus a better game experience. I would prefer Red Bull or the one in Houston over BMO even after they've fixed up the one end. Of course if they go nuts and throw a lot more money at BMO and do some massive work - that would be a different story... but I don't think they're going to be spending much more on it.
Fully enclose and wall off the corners, maybe $20 million dollars max. But yeah right now, MLSE isn't gonna do that. They need to save that money for the Raptors and Leafs.

The exterior of Mosaic Stadium belongs in the Ugly Canada thread.
In fairness, I don't think many stadiums look that great from the outside. In Canada, only Olympic Stadium and the wood-veil side of TD Place really have any kind of exceptional aesthetic appeal IMO.
I like the new Mosaic but the rake of the lower level seems awfully shallow which forces the upper deck to be quite far back from the playing field. Would be better if they cantilevered the upper deck over a steeper lower deck.

The roof of BC place looks pretty good from the outside, even better at night. Though the exterior closer to ground level is nothing to write home about.
