I'm right in the heart of downtown also... If we're using the 17th & California estimate than I'm 7 blocks away...

It depends.

In Phoenix (map on left): 31 miles
In Prescott (map on right): 2 miles



During the summer, I walk to my job on the square in Prescott. Obviously, that isn't possible in Phoenix.

A wee bit over 1 mile - from Boulder. But I don't even work in downtown but a quarter of a mile from where I live now, so there isn't much of a point.
