Yesterday I saw a crew putting up a sign at 20th and 1st advertising the development. The rendering on the sign was similar to this one but the terrace on the 5 storey building had what clearly resembled a restaurant patio. I remember that being mentioned in the SP article as well.
A rooftop restaurant/lounge would be fantastic for a warm summer night!

That's how I felt about the neon signage on the Barry. I think it was taken town before demolition. I wonder what's to be done with it?
If the Capri could be restored to its former glory I'd be for keeping it but I doubt the old exterior is salvageable. Build a mid-rise there with lots of glass. Keep and fix up the Continental as a last remnant of built heritage in the south downtown. At least its facade isn't half bad.
