I mapped out the prairies only. All of our strongest economic levers against USA, would immediately turn to military points of interest for USA upon invasion.
Namely Potash, Uranium, Oil, and the pipeline that sends oil.
Those will be their highest priority to control. And all of those economic interests reside in the prairies. The prairies are also the easiest to invade. (No St Lawrence/Great Lakes protection, No mountain protection like BC). So USA could very well just settle on taking the prairies and forget about the East. That's bad for us, obviously, since we all live here. But I'm just trying to wrap my head around the gameboard, USA interests, front lines, and safe retreat zones for us as well.
