Only knew him casually but I told him years ago when I stopped doing it on the regular(

This was the he path choose for himself and so it really was only a matter of time. Quite frankly I'm a little surprised it actually took as long as it did.

Its too bad that they won't be able to do something illegal anymore?

I mean trespassing is one thing, but he & his crew were not only using tools of the B&E trade but apparently forced their way in, i.e. the mischief charge would have resulted from property damage. As a former rooftopper I can't respect that. If I couldn't get into a building, I'd give up on it. But that man was relentless... he'd get into places that I thoroughly checked out and dropped the very same week. He and his crew just wouldn't let a locked door or two stop them from getting the perfect shot. And that was crossing the line.

Not as simple as that. If it was just a one-off I'm sure that's what would happen but they're obviously well aware of just how prolific he was - the 'evidence' is all over the net afterall. Even if they drop the charges they'll have problems. A friend of mine got caught at a building and was likewise charged with B&E. It was a bullshit charge since aside from the fact he had no intent to commit an indictable offence, more importantly he didn't cause any damage. As expected the charges were dropped. But even now many years after the fact he still cannot get into the profession of his choice and is stuck working menial jobs. He's been fighting to get the charge expunged but its not a simple process. So just getting charged can be more than enough to screw up ones future prospects.
